Sugar Plum Fairy Cake
Instead of using a cake topper, Lisa and Andy asked pastry chef Leslie Heinsohn-Balassone of Calico in Rhinebeck, NY to use fruit to decorate their cake. She created this scrumptious looking masterpiece (chocolate with chocolate ganache frosting and white chocolate cream filling) with a chestnut leaf motif. To decorate it, Leslie used seasonal fruit from the region, coated in a sugar glaze. Lisa reported the result was as "devine"as it looked.
